@markjaquith I’ve attempted to use the wp-scripts/env NPM package for providing a consistent plugin development environment, but it just pulls the latest Dev branch of WordPress instead of allowing for a stable release version, or easily switching the version.

@thespacedmonkey I’m beginning to consider doing something similar. Primarily for PHP, but also because my plugin relies heavily on date/time functionality and I have had to put in special checking for versions of both PHP and WordPress in order to make sure date/time is handled properly.

@schutzsmith @Krogsgard @wprigio When I saw your comment that WP Rig appeared to be abandoned I thought to myself surely that can’t be. Then I read the call for help. This is sad indeed. Being a contributor/maintainer of an OOS plugin I can understand how this can happen though.
@k0001 @dysinger Dell XPS is my daily driver for work, running Ubuntu, not sure how a BSD distro will fare.
