@ChrisWiegman @joytreats If we had the disposable income I think I might have waited for the new AMD System76 machine and picked up one of those.
@ChrisWiegman @joytreats Since I’m a CLI/Linux person the Linux environment on the Chromebook(i3/8GB/128GB) pretty much meets all my needs as a developer. I’d use one for work if they’d let me, ha, of course for 8 hours of programing I’d need a higher end Chromebook, like a i7/32GB/512GB.
@ChrisWiegman @joytreats After getting a System76 from work I was also really considering one for personal, in the end I couldn’t pass up the price and comfort of a new Chromebook instead. A solid machine for $350 vs $2000. I know it’s Google but I’m still heavily invested there. 🤷🏻‍♂️
@JJJ Just wow. I’m sorry, but I couldn’t help but get a laugh out of this. Something I always suspect when I see responses like these is that the agents are actually fielding multiple chats all at once, and context switching is killing the service quality.
@mihai_iova @dannycooper147 So I have a setup that uses SatisPress to manage plugins via Composer. If plugins need activation for updates alone I’m not super concerned about registering, since the SatisPress instance takes care of downloading the updates. I regularly update the plugins via Composer.
@awelgraven I changed that setting a long time ago. Can’t tell you how many times I sat fumbling around trying to leave a meeting. Ha.
